In the last post, I talked about the key to finding your flow which lies in meditation. So I would like to pick up the final thought: focused breathing. In the end it’s one of the best ways to relieve stress at work as well as at home, wherever you are. The reason for that lies in the direct access to your autonomic nervous system, especially the vagus which regulates the balance in your body and psyche. You’ll find more on my website in the days to come.
I just would like to give you one simple exercise. Take a breath 6 x per minute, i.e. 10 seconds per breath, disposed as follows:
1 – 4 breathe in
5 – 8 breathe out
9 – 10 pause
To begin with take a deep breath, then while inhaling you take in everything you need, whereas exhaling you let go of everything which doesn’t belong to you. Finally – enjoy yourself coming to the center!
